Jeffrey Schipper — 9:48 AM @Matthijs how is it with Chargeblast? we still use chargeback.io? Matthijs — 9:48 AM Since yesterday we switched to Chargeblast for RDR aswel. Jeffrey Schipper — 9:55 AM is RDR visible as a refund in Shopify? Matthijs — 9:57 AM No, it shows as chargeback resolved. The refund is not shown in the analytics and just get deducted from the payout Jeffrey Schipper — 9:57 AM okee withdrawn from slash you mean right ach pull Matthijs — 10:19 AM No shopify doesnt withdrawal those from Slash, it gets deducted from the payout. We can get this data out of the Shopify Payments activity report -> https://admin.shopify.com/store/relivexinternational/finance/documents/activity-report You can also see it in the payouts, the RDR is also shown as 'chargeback' in the transactions that are deducted from the payout [Image] Jeffrey Schipper — 10:47 AM noo thats not what I mean if a RDR is happening in chargeblast, then PayArc is refunding it. So it's not visible in Shopify, but is PayArc actually refunding it under refunds, or does it accept the chargeback; then it should be the case that the amount is an ACH pull on our slash that's what we discussed, I see for today 50 ACH pulls on slash. so if this 50x real chargebacks, or is this 30x a real chargeback and 20x a RDR Matthijs — 10:55 AM Oh i understand. RDR auto-refunds from Payarc are indeed shown in the deposits as a dispute. So all the RDRs get ACH pulled from Slash. So not visible in Shopify also But i see 30 ACH pulls on slash today, not 50? Also when an RDR/dispute comes in, it will be ACH pulled 2 days after Jeffrey Schipper — 11:01 AM I received 50 emails , maybe some from yesterday idk
Refunds and chargebacks: what shows up where (PayPal and Payarc)

Matthijs — 8/30/26, 11:08 AM @Jeric Tapalis I am trying to get a better understanding of what data to look at with Chargebacks and refunds. I checked all the outcomes in Paypal aswel and i came to the following conclusion. But can you please verify this? And let me know your thoughts? I only checked it for Paypal and Payarc now because those are the biggest. -- Refunds and chargebacks: what shows up where (PayPal and Payarc) Three separate money-out events: Manual refunds (we refund the customer ourselves) Auto-refund alerts (a dispute resolved by refunding before it becomes a formal chargeback) Lost chargebacks (the processor takes the money back after we lose or don't respond) CheckoutChamp and Shopify only ever show refunds. They never show a lost chargeback. So if you only look at COC or Shopify, chargeback losses are invisible. PayPal Counted as a refund (visible in COC and Shopify): Manual refunds done through COC Disputes of type Inquiry or Pre-chargeback (these resolve as refunds) Any dispute Jeric refunds inside PayPal, regardless of type (Claim, Chargeback, etc.). Status becomes REFUNDED and it syncs back to COC and Shopify. Not visible in COC or Shopify: Claim, Chargeback, ACH Return, ACH Reversal that we lose without refunding Rule: refunded at any stage = refund. Lost without refunding = chargeback, only visible in PayPal. Payarc Counted as a refund (visible in COC and Shopify): Manual refunds done through COC Disputes auto-refunded through Chargeblast Not visible in COC or Shopify: RDR disputes, auto-refunded by Payarc directly (verify again once Chargeblast takes over RDR) Lost disputes Monthly P&L Refunds: already in Shopify, don't add them again. Chargebacks: take lost chargebacks, dispute fees and reversals for won cases from the monthly processor statements (PayPal and Payarc). Payarc RDR refunds also come from the statement until the Chargeblast switch is confirmed. What we can add to the Weekly Reporting Log per processor: count + dollar amount lost on chargebacks. cc @Jeffrey Schipper @Robbert

- PayPal Transactions (0–2 Days): What percentage are subscriptions versus new orders? - "Item Not Received" Claims: What percentage of these claims come from subscriptions? - Chargeback Timeline: Can we track chargebacks daily (Days 1–31) instead of using standard day ranges (0–2, 3–7, 8–14, 15–30, and 30+)?
